Friends of Cyrus provides Individualized Community Supports and Services for Adults and Children with Developmental Disabilities in New Jersey. We assist our consumers to live as independently and productively as possible, while receiving the support they need to live safely. We serve individuals with various needs including but not limited to developmental disabilities, behavioral diffculties as well as medical conditions and limitations. We strive to look beyond our clients' limitations and work diligently to discover their strengths and abilities. We cherish every milestone that each individual reaches and celebrate their achievements. The key to our success is our staff training and ability to understand the needs of individuals with disabilities. Our team continuously works to find constructive manifestations of negative behaviors so that the person does not merely overcome them, but also converts them into positive accomplishments about which he or she can feel proud. Nursing, nursing assistance, behavior management, respite and personal care services are provided year round, and in various shifts in clients' homes by trained caregivers. We serve individuals based on DDD funding source initiatives with a process in which we are qualified to render individualized community supports and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Friends of Cyrus provides support for adults and children with medical needs (Level 1 through 6) and/or behavioral needs (Level 1 and 2) in their community-based homes. Supports will be designed to address each person's individual preferences and needs as expressed in his or her service plan. All services provided by Friends of Cyrus foster independence, integration, individualization and productivity within the community for each person while honoring the individual's cultural background. We assist individuals in making decisions about their own lives, and we work cooperatively with DDD as we continue serving our clients.
