INTENSIVE IN-COMMUNITY SERVICES Cooperative Counseling Services is an Intensive In-Community Service provider within the Division of Children’s System of Care (CSOC). Services are delivered to youth with behavioral health needs and are designed to help maintain children in the least restrictive setting and to preserve their home environment. Services are also provided to youth who are returning from out-of-home care or psychiatric hospitalization and require intensive community-based services or are at imminent risk of placement due to mental health issues, emotional disturbance, or substance abuse. The intent of this service is to provide the clinical intervention and support necessary to successfully maintain each child in his or her home or community. The goal is to provide a degree of clinical care and supervision in the home and community setting that is appropriate to children discharged from a more restrictive setting (e.g., residential, psychiatric hospitalization), or as an alternative to a more restrictive setting. All treatment, care and support services must be provided in a context that is child-centered, family-focused, strength-based, culturally-competent and responsive to each child’s psychosocial, developmental, and treatment care needs. A team of highly dedicated licensed clinical therapists and certified behavioral assistants are matched with families and youth who request services and work to help them meet their individualized goals. Service plans are developed with the family and youth to ensure that goals are measurable, short-term and solution-focused. When working with Cooperative Counseling Services’, Intensive In-Community program, a family should expect to work with highly skilled, clinically licensed professionals; and CSOC-Certified Behavioral Assistants. Families are informed when the clinician is not yet fully licensed and under the clinical supervision of a clinically licensed professional. VISITATION SERVICES Supervised and Therapeutic Visitation Services are designed to help parents who cannot have unsupervised contact with their children per DCP&P or Family Court Orders. Rather than eliminating contact between non-custodial parents and their children, supervised visitation offers a supportive setting where the relationship can safely continue and be strengthened via impartially observed visits by trained mental health professionals. Therapeutic Visitation Services provide parents with the opportunity to spend time with their children in the presence of a master's level, licensed clinician. Families receive support from these clinicians to strengthen and repair their relationship during each visit. Clinicians facilitate interactions via dialogue and age-appropriate play between the parents and their children. The clinicians model healthy parenting styles and correct any issues preventing a productive relationship within the family. Our clinicians and visitation supervisor have a wealth of experience and expertise. Our staff is team-oriented and comprised of dedicated professionals who care about our youth and their families and intervene with compassion and skill. Bilingual (Spanish) supervised and therapeutic visits are available. Our Visitation Program environment is warm and welcoming and allows for children and their families to meet in comfort and enjoy home-like surroundings. Private pay families are welcome.
