CURA was the first Hispanic agency in the State of New Jersey to implement a Substance Abuse Counseling Therapy Program in Spanish. CURA has over 40 years of experience providing residential treatment services. We have served approximately 18,000 persons. CURA owns and operates six licensed facilities in the Northern and Southern regions of the state. CURA is an approved Co-Occurring treatment provider that offers treatment services to individuals who are dually diagnosed with a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Disorder. CURA is now a licensed HIV Rapid Testing Site with qualified counselors that provide pre and post test counseling. CURA is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which promotes the highest standards of quality and care of its members. CURA is a member of the Therapeutic Communities of America (TCA) and has integrated their Therapeutic Community (TC) philosophy of care in treatment. We are also a member of the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities (WFTC).
