Group Home – Alpha House Group Home (formerly in Jersey City) is located in Plainfield, NJ. This program is for male youth ages 15-19. This program is for youth with emotional, social, physical and/or behavioral needs who do not require a more restrictive facility for their own protection or that of others. Youth in this program MUST have CMO involvement. DCP&P can also be involved in their case. Youth should be registered on Youthlink through Performcare. For more information on this program, please call Clinical Specialist, Raquel Jones, LAC, at 732-827-2466. Treatment Home – Wayne Treatment Home is located in Wayne, NJ. Nia Treatment Home is located in Woodland Park, NJ. These programs are for youth ages 11-17 (dependent upon the eldest youth in programming at the time of referral). The treatment home serves 5 adolescent males who are capable of community living, but who need a small group environment and intensive supervision by staff members in order to ameliorate emotional, social and/or behavioral difficulties. Youth in this program MUST have CMO involvement. DCP&P can also be involved in their case. Youth should be registered on Youthlink through Performcare. Parenting Skills Education Program - provides in-home support and training to foster and adoptive parents. This 16-week program teaches parenting skills and techniques to deal with a multitude of behavioral problems. It is designed to be a proactive tool that will avoid disruption of placement and offer the children and families a sense of stability. This program can provide services in Bergen, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren counties. Bilingual staff are available. Parent Enrichment and Childrearing Education (PEACE) - provides support and training to families through in-home visits in Passaic County. The bilingual licensed clinicians help struggling families remain intact. The ultimate goal of the PEACE Program is to increase healthy positive parenting practices, to prevent child maltreatment occurrence or recurrence, and increase safety, permanency, and well-being. The youth can remain at the program for 30 days. The staff works closely with DCP&P to ensure that each child moves into a stable, long-term living environment. Independent Living Program - consists of four programs in New Jersey for youth ages 17-21 who are aging out of foster care. These youth live in supervised apartments with a roommate and staff teach them the skills needed to live on their own (accepting male and female referrals)
