2nd Ave Stores and Village Thrift Stores are companies that stemmed from the original 1959 for-profit thrift company. Each 2nd Ave Store and Village Thrift Store is dedicated to bringing its customers the best value in clothing, household goods and collectables in the marketplace. We achieve this by selecting the highest quality second-hand goods and merchandising them in the most consumer-friendly manner possible, creating a very shoppable environment. 2nd Ave Stores and Village Thrift Stores are also dedicated to a life-long relationship with charitable organizations as their supplier of second-hand merchandise. Demonstrating the epitome of a symbiotic relationship, we have provided millions of dollars to charities that would have otherwise been without, by purchasing our merchandise through collection efforts. Our mission is to provide each and every customer with the best in discount retail and it is also our mission to be a long standing part of the community. We achieve this by providing careers, as we are a very labor intensive organization, and by involving ourselves in community events and activities.
