Children Learning Interpersonal Mind Body skills program is a series of emotional regulation and social skills groups for children and adolescents age 7 to 14 years (placed according to age and developmental maturity). The groups are limited to 6-8 members and are best suited for young people needing assistance with: increasing self-confidence communication skills improving focus and academic performance making and keeping friends improving behavior in the home/school/community The hour long group is focused on personal change through action grounded in the mind-body connection. It includes 20 minutes of Mindfulness training and 30 minutes of interactive activities designed to increase empathy, feeling identification, impulse control, problem solving, frustration tolerance and anger management. Activities include art therapy, role-play, games, music and recreation.
