Dr. Catherine O'Sullivan was trained in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to children and young adults in a variety of settings, including an inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation hospital, schools, and outpatient psychotherapy centers. CBT is a therapeutic approach which operates on the premise that your thoughts/beliefs influence your emotions and subsequently, your behaviors, and that by helping you alter the way you think about situations, you can learn to cope and behave in a way that can help you to achieve a more fulfilling life. Dr. O'Sullivan has worked with children, teens, and young adults to help them address challenges related to diagnoses of Depression, Anxiety, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, body image issues, coping with secondary effects of Brain Injuries, Autism, chronic illness, and Gender Dysphoria, among other challenges.
